Need a New Look?

Sometimes, the line between us and "virtual us" gets a bit fuzzy:

Hmmmm.... Bas might be asking for dna samples before registering new members :scared:

The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.

With most photography being digital, this could really make it unreliable for anything even close to any legal use needs. How do you prove that anything is true or false anymore?? Security cam feed of a robbery, prove it wasn't altered. Vacation photos, prove you really were there.

Exactly why I chose to end my career as a photojournalist. Film is more likely to record truth. Digital imaging is prone to manipulating it.

And as time goes on, how do you judge history that happened before you were born, or perhaps before your parents or grandparents. When you can't tell and an ever increasing percent is manipulated, how will they trust anything that falls outside their preconceived notions. Want a video of a president shooting people from the Truman balcony 100 years before, might very well exist one day. The flood of data presenting all points of view already makes those unfamiliar with true research unable to tell what is true, manipulated or outright fake.
