TR6 Need a frame for TR6

Got a surprise removing my 1969 TR6 body. Front half of my frame was sectioned and now don't know why. I posted the pics a few weeks ago and taking some measurements it's out of wack. All of the front suspension pieces are bent too so it couldn't have been sectioned for front end hit and rebuild. So instead of going to a frame shop I would be better off replacing it with a straight one. Anyone know of one? I live in northeastern Ohio.

They did all that work then your going to grind and weld then grind some more and destroy the finish. Anyway I was was planning on getting mine acid dipped and E-coated when finished. So the work done on that yellow one would be a waist of money. I haven't looked into the Ratco frames yet.

Found a old post on BCF with a RATCO frame link but it didn't work. Googling brought up a Facebook link but I'm not on it. Read some comments that the frames run around $5k? If this is true then there is no $ for that. I will have to repair mine and maybe section in a new/used front piece and weld up the back part. Then get it dipped and E-coated. That's a bit less. $1100 not counting the front frame piece.

And they are substantially stronger with design improvements also.
IMHO...By the time you fix an old chassis, there will not be enough savings to warrant not buying a ratco chassis.

Macy's Garage has a TR6 body shell primed and ready to go, for $17,500. Add the Ratco frame for $5500 and you're good to go! Well, almost.

This looks pretty interesting if it's true:

I have an early frame (68-72) for sale. I'm in Cincinnati. It's a solid frame, but has some things sliced off in order to hold a V8. The left front engine mount will need replacing. The transmission mounts (both) will need to be replaced. The t-shirt sections were both sliced right down the middle to accommodate a big exhaust. The exhaust hanger at the cross tube in the back needs replacing. Most of the bits that need replacing can be cut from your frame. On the plus side (again) it's SOLID. Both TA sections are solid. The diff mounts have both been boxed in. I have pics of the frame to share if you're interested. PM me your e-mail if so. Price is $300.

If you'd rather, I have an early 69 roller. Body isn't very good, but chassis is solid and hasn't been cut. The tub has had new floors & inner rockers installed but needs TONS more help. I have almost every part from the car including a NICE set of seats in black.
