Need a E-Type dip stick, anyone have one?

The dipstick broke in half on my '64 series 1 E-Type coupe (3.8 litre) - I couldn't believe it! I managed to pull the broken part out with a long, thin magnet - was that ever a relief to get that piece out!

Anyway - there is no way to braze it back together because it's a snug fit into the tube.

New ones are available ($$$), but I thought I'd try used first. According to the part number in XK's Unlimited's catalogue, series 1 and series 2 E-Types use the same dipstick.

Anyone have one out of a parts car?

SNG Barratt has them for $67. Cheaper new than re-chroming an old one. Later series 2 used a red plastic plug (I think) on the stick end.
