Need a cross reference for a glue

I am reading instructions for installing my rubber to the running boards of my Morris 8 and need a cross reference to a glue that is used overseas. They reference Araldite two-pack epoxy adhesive. Do you know of something that compares? This is attaching rubber to steel and needs to take some heat as it will be exposed to the sun a lot.
The person that wrote it up also reference a contact adhesive that was heat resistant. California limits some glues into the state, but I know many contact adhesives sold here can't take the heat.

On another forum there is a fellow who restores primarily Jowetts - this was his recommendation to glue the door window felts to the metal door frame: Sikaflex 221 - both surfaces clean and dry - he uses panel wipe to clean the surfaces

Sikaflex 221 is what I used - it's a multi purpose but very strong adhesive - just make sure both surfaces are clean & dry before bonding them (I used panel wipe to ensure that all traces of silicone were removed but you could use methylated spirit) 221 is available widely - e bay / motor factors / DIY stores etc and is circa ÂŁ8 - ÂŁ10 a tube - seal the nozzle of the tube off when done and you will get a lot more uses out of it - you can clean up any excess with panel wipe / meths etc

Araldite epoxy is a very old type of 2 part epoxy. I remember using it a long time ago in England (1960s). The formulation may have changed now but it was a slow set epoxy unlike the 5 minute versions they have now.

Saying that I would think that any good quality 2 part epoxy would do the job.

David - good info about the Araldite. Amazon also sells the Araldite "quick set" epoxy.

Some of the epoxy does not say it bonds to rubber. Most of the "clear" or amber 5 min do not list rubber. There is also a locktite brand that I have found that bonds to rubber. This glue will be used on the joint of the ribbed rubber to the smooth rubber, then the combined sheet will be glued to the steel running board with a contact adhesive that will take the heat.
At least that is what an expert in New Zealand did. But the different brands of glue and new technology of glue makes me wonder if I should pick another brand.
Sikaflex- I have used this before and always had good results.

Sikaflex is used by yachties to hold windows in hold and make weather tight seals
