One of the most fascinating historical finds I think I've ever seen... I'm referring to an 1865 submarine found in a remote area of South America, built by Julius Kroehl, Discovery Channel Canada is airing a program about it right now... I'm fairly certain this will also be aired in the United States, I would think... A show called Explorer: The First Submarine
The basic story is that a cruise ship passed by the wreck of the submarine, and one of the crew members or passengers told someone about the wreck, saying it was a WW2 wreck, the man knew different and his research led to Kroehl...
