Now that you're getting the hang of it... once you've got the panel tacked on, you may want to try this;
Instead of holding the trigger down, weld in pulses. Just hold for a second or so, enough time for the arc to start and for a bit of material to weld, then stop. No need to wait, do the same thing immediately next to the spot your just did. Repeat over and over.
This technique is good to use for sheet metal, since it keeps the surface relatively cool, avoids warpage and blow-through. And less welding snot to grind off at the end! :wink: Somewhere there was an online tutorial with a great video of this... I'll see if I can find it.
