Why Darwinism doesn't work here in the US is because the government is full of the ones with few brain cells and lawyers and they pass laws that protect the ones that would be dead by now if we were back in caveman times.
Look at almost everything out there now, it has a warning label on it. The cookie I just ate said to make sure I don't consume it while breathing at the same time because the cookie could get inhaled down the wrong pipe which could cause me to cough and maybe even die from lack of air.
I have a keychain that had a choking hazard warning on it. Claimed that it wasnt suitable for ages 0-13... ...I repeat zero to THIRTEEN!!!! Ok, so some moronic 13yo may choke and die from swallowing a keychain, but 14yos, its safe for them.
Im actually surprised the cookie had that kind of label on it. Im sure it dangerous to diabetics, or has the possibility of causing obesity. Because we all know its the food manufacturers fault. Shame on them for making food so delicious. We cant possibly control ourselves.

No comment, just felt that it was quote worthy.
<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:]mikecyc72usa, just a FYI, I ride a motorcycle a lot on weekends and run into groups of bikes that tend to try and take the hole road up. They will ride 3-9 a breast and will not pull over to let you pass. Now most are very good but I do run into a group it seems a couple times a month that wants to own the road. I always try and give a bike, walker and anyone on the side of the road as much space as I can.
It would just be nice for everyone to give each other some courtesy and treat people like they would like to be treated. [/QUOTE]
Yeah, there are some rare times when Ive needed to drive 10-30mph below the speed limit, so Id pull over and let people pass, or ride on the improved shoulder, which is legal in this state for that very reason, to let faster traffic pass. But I have noticed that bike riders are some of the dumbest rudest individuals on the road.
When I ride my bike, I ride against traffic because I want to be able to see them, because I KNOW they wont see me, and when I see someone approaching, I get out of their way, even if it means pulling over onto the grass. So what if I legally have rights to the road, its no different than the gt6 vs semi story. The other thing is in the rare occasion that I travel outside my neighborhood I use the shoulders. Theres no reason for a 10mph bike to force traffic to follow at that speed on a 50mph street. Or worse, have them try and pass illegally possibly causing a collision with oncoming traffic.
Its not courtesy, its safety. I would even use a sidewalk if available. And when I say that, I would like to explain that we dont have pedestrians here, ever. Any walkers, joggers or bike riders we have, arent commuting, theyre doing this for their health, which IMO, is very unhealthy due to how they go about it. We have a lot of lovely bike routes that connect to sidewalks. I just know that in some places where pedestrian traffic is heavy, bike riders arent allowed.
Anyway I have seen all sorts of things, Ive seen people ride on 40mph streets with bike routes parallel, and they wont ever use them. They expect all motor vehicles to either stay put or pass illegally. Ive seen the very same with riders traveling against traffic (how I mentioned before) only they dont yeild to traffic, they still expect them to pass illegally. I had one guy get ticked with me because instead of passing, I stopped. He stopped to, because if he didnt, he would have hit me. Instead he was mad at me! Whats even worse was his friend was right beside him, ON THE BIKE ROUTE!!! Oh, and lemme describe these routes for you. They arent a part of the street like in some cities, they are protected by a curb.
Lets see... ...bike riders on 50mph roads going with traffic (lets just hope motorists see you)... ...ok, no shoulder, no sidewalk, and no bike route, so you have to use the road ok, but why cant you let people by? And if youre dressed like Lance Armstrong in the middle of the day on a weekday, then I know your not on your way to work or something, so why pick that road of all roads?!?
Another sick thing Ive seen, a biker going with traffic on a 45mph road where a sidewalk is availible, not riding a bike mind you, but WALKING A BIKE! I honked at the biker because thanks to traffic I stuck going her speed, and there was no way I could change lanes due to my speed vs everyone elses, and I was really worried that Id be rear ended. You know what she did after I honked? She waved me in a manner like I could pass her in the same lane. Maybe in the GT6 I could, but I was in my mustang.
Whats even worse is that these are all adults. If theyre children, theyre all on the bike routes and sidewalks, as Im sure they were taught by their parents... ...its nice that someone doesnt lose their child, but it stinks if that child grows up an orphan.
As far as the tour de france wannabe riding groups, I actually prefer those better. Ive never seen them ride 9 a breast but sometimes seen 3. Even when there are like 50 in a group, they never take up more than a lane. I mostly like them because 1) they travel 10-0mph below the speed limit as opposed to 30 and 2) I cant see a parallel bike route being a better solution. 3) if you MUST ride on the road, its safer to do so in a group as you are more noticable to traffic.
But probably my biggest issue with bike riders are how they want you to "SHARE THE ROAD!" Yet for some reason they dont have to share it with you. Sure, they legally can use the road, but they never seem to understand that impeding traffic is illegal.
