Nasty Boy Update

I realize this isn't everyone's cuppa Earl Grey, but "personalizing" (thanks Steve Thomton) one's non-concours Healey can be a lot of fun. Here's the beginning of the "Coat of Arms" underbonnet:

The rest of the story is here:

Re: Nasty Boy Update

Your pictures are not working. :cryin:

It might be the network I'm on. I will check from another one in a few minutes.

My wife's class room network was the problem.

Re: Nasty Boy Update

That was a fun and interesting read. Although I would love to do something like you are doing, it is way beyond my abilities.

Bruce,

Don't be so sure. I'm a "recipe" kind of guy. I can cook up some fine food if someone has been down that road before and points me along the way.But I'm not an intuitive chef or wrench turner that can figure this stuff out on my own. I'm not afraid of diving off the cliffs of Acapoulco if Barney Cipriani can show me the way to the bottom. If you want to make this trip, it's not as hard as you imagined. Do the research and contact me if you need some guidance.

Re: Nasty Boy Update

Hey Rick,

Nice touch. Are you getting close to being road ready?

Now you've got your flag don't forget your family battle cry is "A Neville, A Neville"

Funny, I could've sworn it was this:

And BTW, with all the really cool heraldic devices, lions, bears, knights, etc, all my folks could come up with was a big white "X" ... really?

Re: Nasty Boy Update

Are you planning to tape off for the stars in the white area and finish painting the white area Blue?

It means your heraldic device is early one and certainly before they got poncy.

It could be worse. My mom researched my family name, and the coat of arms was supposed to be two crossed eagle talons. But it looked like two crossed chicken legs to me and everyone else.

Funny thing is, when I look up the family name on line now, I get a very different image.
