Like new Metropolitan driving in front of me today - cream and green with spare tire on the back. First one I've seen in a while.

A friend of mine helped his friend prepare a Met for a journey. The Met was pretty complete to start with, so it was a case of getting the goo out of the gas tack and fuel lines, replacing hydraulic washers, tracing the short in the headlights. The usual stuff when the car sits too long. The owner drove the far around the Phoenix area then off to the Denver area from Phoenix. The guy and his wife had a great time toodling along at fifty miles per hour, enjoying the scenery. Just a bit of carb adjustment as they got to northern New Mexico. Wasn't based on an Austin of some kind?

I love Metropolitans. I don't know why, but I love those little cars.

We had 2 of them, convertibles, when the boys were in high school, you could go a long way on a gallon of gas! Fun little cars. :thumbsup2:

I had one brought it back from the grave, parts were quite plentiful had to use a different engine
