Most of you who have been around for a while know that annually I participate in a fund raiser for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). The money raised helps fund many of NAMI's signature programs, including Family-to-Family, a 12-week education program to help families with loved ones living with mental illness more effectively help their ill relative.
I have not set up my fund raising page yet, but will be doing so soon. In the meantime, a good friend sent me this today. It is a powerful video that describes the challenges people living with mental illness face, as well as the challenges their families face in trying to help them.
