While watching a rerun of the Myth Busters looking for a car to put an ejection seat into, there flashed on the screen these guys measuring a Studebaker Avanti to see if the seat would fit. Man, I found myself yelling a the TV, NO! NO! NO YOU $^%^#^, YOU CAN'T DO THAT TO THAT CAR!

Phew, they passed it up.

I thought the same thing but also thought the "YOTA" was pretty cool too. I digged the wheels and would add a car like that to the collection if I had the chance. Not sure what type is was though.

It was a 65 Toyota Carona. It was kinda sad to see it cut up, but it was entertaining. That seat worked so well.... hehehehe.
I was sad when they did the snowplow myth, and wrecked that mint little Samauri. thos things are hard to find around here. and If you do find one its a rot bomb.
Now the Fiat they pancaked bretween the semis! no hard feelings at all.....
I don't think I woulda been to choked up about the Avanti. They're nice, but they still make 'em.

I dug the Fiat myself and what they finally did to that poor Toyota.

I was p***ed all to heck when they cut up that Toyota....they're as rare as rocking horse crap around here. Since they kept showing someone ejecting from a Jaguar convertible, why didn't they get something that already lacked a roof? An XK8 would've been too expensive, but I can't drive for ten minutes without seeing a Chrysler Sebring ragtop.... why not use one of those?

I was unhappy with the squashed Fiat as well. I love X1/9s, driven quite a few great examples, including one well tuned beauty that was just a blast to drive. The car they squashed appeared to be pretty good, but the owner wasn't willing to keep it running. Even the interior was complete!

Keep all that in mind as B-J auctions off once common Chrysler products.

Some folk have too much money. :madder:

The one that upset me the most was the destruction of that old snow plow, any trucks like that are getting to be very rare and certainly unique, and to see it disposed of at the end of the episode was heart breaking, especially when it appeared to be in half-decent shape...
