Hello everyone, just finishing putting the engine back in the car and hooking everything up. I have come across a wiring harness plug that I can't see where it goes. Can anyone tell me what it is for? It is attached to a wiring harness that runs from the passenger side of the firewall and across over to the drivers side. I do not see where the mate to this plug is. I would greatly appreciate any assistance.

Looks like the brake proportioning valve plug. Follow all the brake pipes on the inner fender….the plug will fit on the top.
Your brake light on the dash maybe laminating?

Agree that it's for the brake proportioning valve. On the late MGBs with a brake servo the valve is on the bottom of the master cylinder.
