Well, they're mysterious to me anyway.

The caliper-like tool is labeled "Trico - Milwaukee" and "N11" (or "IIN"). The material is either stiff leather or fiber.

The bottle-opener-like tool is marked "Edlund Co", "Pat Nov 7-33", "Made in USA".

I've seen these often over the years but their use escapes me.

Anyone?

The caliper-like thing is for pulling cartridge (eg glass) fuses. The other one looks like an old bottle opener to me.

I thought the "pliers' were for pullin' plug wires/boots...

The other thing sure hits me as a bottle opener, too.

I actually think the other is for opening paint cans

I think it'd be more suitable for pulling plug wires but I found several photos of it captioned as a fuse puller. I've never seen fuses that big, though. Maybe it's for those old house fuses.

I guess I could try to open a bottle and a paint can with the other tool and see what happens.

I tried it. It not only ~opens~ them, it levers the top back on afterward. Very handy little item.

phew, glad it worked

The yellow unit with the lines and numbers on it located in the middle is a steel tape measure :jester:

GOOD, Rego. Glad ~somebody~ here has a grip on things.

Fuse puller and spark plug wire holder for testing spark. The other we used as an oil can ( back in the metal can days, as it wouldn't work to well on the cardboard cans) opener when we couldn't find the spout opener.

That makes sense. I used it the other day to hold a plug wire since it was the only thing I had handy that looked like it'd serve the purpose.

I could ~never~ find a spout when I needed to open a metal topped oil can but usually used a screwdriver corner which worked fine. Except for 40 weight in winter. They opened fine but took forever to pour in 20 degree "heat".

I have one of them too and always wondered what it was. Neat.
