Trying this one more timre before I eBay it. I posted this a few months back and we all had a good kick outta trying to figure it out. Figured maybe someone has seen it since then at a car show or something. This is a stumper even to the guy that restores steering wheels for a living. Come on guys, what is it!

But it looks even more like this from a 55 TR2:

TR2 and 3 wheels were the same, but vping's has three spokes on the bottom, four on the two on the sides. Pretty unique...

Oh yeah, didn't notice that...otherwise pretty close.

Early MG Magnette.

Show me a pic if you have one. The 3 spoke vertical is the stumper. No markings on this anywhere.

Perhaps it's French or German and not an LBC. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif
I'll take a wild guess and say Rootes Group,Humber Hawk. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Here's the broken one in my '56 MG ZB Magnette - 4 spokes across, 3 down...the last time I backed into the garage & cut her hard to turn into the parking space not only did the right 4 spokes break but I bent the bottom 3...now I've gotta find another!

But, look at all that wood!

I think his is about to break in the same place:

WOW. I think we have a winner. Sure looks like it.

Now tell me its condition & what your restorer said it'd cost to redo it....

He's not called the Autoist for nothing. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Condition is kinda self explanitory. Cracks in it but fairly solid. I can provide more pics. The wheel restorer I contacted about my TD wheel told me that it'd be cheaper to buy a moss repro. What is would cost to restore this I am not sure.

More pics, pleasae - closeups of cracked area

Here you go.

It's more solid than I remember. I does need to be repaired before you could use it though it is a great piece to start with.

That 3rd photo looks sorta like mine did right before it popped!
