My boxes are all empty. Everything that came off the TR3 has been accounted for. Except this...

Does anybody recognize it??

Never seen that part!!

Hi John,

doesn't look familiar to me. Sorry.

M. Pied Lourd

Looks like a DPOism to me; especially where it appears to have been bent to a right angle, painted (or plated) and then bent back nearly flat.

Hmmm, the rear fender stay. MOSS part 802-400? DPO modified, to boot....

Don't think so. The fender stay is only about 1/2" wide and has a stiffening rib through the middle. John's photo looks more like 3/4" or even 1" wide, and no sign that there was ever a rib running along the length.

Might have been a replacement for the stiffening rib, but it also looks too short to me.

The other thought I had was the brace for the back of the glovebox; but I don't think that's it either.

I'm thinking that the rear wing stay (on mine anyway) is a sort of 'ribbed' metal (and thinner) - that looks like plain bar stock.

With a slot in it like that my guess is; a part of the handbrake cable support. Possibly a PO needed to relocate a pull point.

I vote for dohickey.

I don't know...I have a lot of dohickeys on my car ...and they don't look like that

It is for sure a thingamagig!

Whatchamacallit!

After all of your unwavering help, it did - infact - turn out to be a doomathingacalit. Thanks all!

John

Isn't this forum great? :smirk:

Saw it and thought: glovebox brace. Then read down the suggestions and Randall's was the only match.
He beat me tuit.

Other thought was radio brace. <shrug>

but I'll settle for "doomathingacalit."
