Mystery Inlet Valve Question

Afternoon:
Brought head and valves to the machine shop Last week and he promised to have it done for me by this weekend. Went to pick it up today and lo and behold the inlet valves were to small! It's been so long I'm not sure if I bought them on ebay or one of the supply houses. Any way the valves measure about 1.437 across and should measure about 1.560. I have already ordered the "hopefully" correct ones. Does anyone have a clue as to what these inlet valves belong to?
I'm going to sell them on ebay if I can identify what they go to.
Thanks, Merry Christmas to everyone, Tinkerman

It sounds like they are 1500 Spit intake valves. 1.4370" head diameter, .3118" stem diameter, and 4.2598" overall length are what's called for for the "big valve" Spit head.
Jeff

Close Jeff, I measure the stem at .308 and the overall length at 4.612, I do read 1.437 on the head.

Tink

Tink, they sound awfully close to later GT6 intakes, with that overall length.
It's the .308 stem diameter that has me stumped.
Later GT6 intakes are 1.4409" head, .3118 stem, and 4.6045 long.
But, I can't come up with anything that exactly matches your dimensions.
Perhaps wiser heads will prevail.
Sorry.
Jeff
