Mystery Healey Photo

My guess: 1968 LeMans Sprite.
And I'm guessing that the picture is taken at a garage at LeMans.

There is a picture of a very similar car on my "Spridget Specials" post here:
https://www.britishcarforum.com/ubbthread...part=4&vc=1

There are now 6 pages of Spridget Specials (and still growing)......I'm even building one myself.

That is not the 68 or after car. It would have had a LARGE hood bulge to clear the Lucas injector stacks. That is an earlier sprite prototype. 66 or 67. Looks like it is white so it might be Bill Brills car. If so, it did race in the 69 and maybe 70 Daytona and Sebring races.
In fact if you want to see what an injected prototype looks like, go to race-cars.com look in the historic section and you will find the last two prototypes I have been restoring. Want to buy them?

I pass, I saw the answer elsewhere and noop had no clue till then.

Hmmm... I haven't posted the answer to "Healey Mystery Photo - 2" yet... I wonder where you saw it! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

o.k. I'll put my answer here too (since you are are multi-threading)

No. 83 looks like one of the two streamlined Sprite Coupes developed for the 1965 Le Mans ...

Cheers,
John
