Mystery Car

I saw this one driving through Encino on the 101 freeway in Los Angeles. Sorry for the poor photos but I was trying to concentrate on driving more than photography, and my phone's camera sucks. The back was kind of unique and probably a tell tale but I couldn't get to my camera/phone quickly enough before my MGB GT screamed by him. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Some type Ferrari

IT DOES! WOW!

Dang. I've been busy. Missed out on that one. I really enjoy doing the resaerch to figure out the "mystery cars"

Good job 78Z! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Yeah I like the process too. Another board I'm on does a bunch of name-that-car games. It recently moved servers so not much to see (yet) but try https://carnuts.us under the vintage section.

You asked for it! I have a real doosey for ya. I'll dig it out later. It's actually made the rounds on a couple car lists and no one has made a definite identification.

I'm always up for a challenge as long its not some one-off VW based kit or something. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

hehehehehe. I checked out the carnuts site citroen mystery car. But they had the answer right in the heading of the post so I diden't even get to guess (not that I knew it anyway. But it definatly looked to be based off of a 2CV)
The best part was the link to the Citroen site, where they described the cars performance as "glacial" hehehehehe.
I guess that just sruck a funny spot in me. hehehehe
Speaking of which, If anyone has a poor old Citroen 2CV that needs a good home, Banjos Home For Orphaned Cars is always ready to accept the old, odd, and unwanted.

Nice 240 DL wagon then? It's redundant here since I've finished my real shed. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

I wonder how many of our fellow members have a thing for Citroens? I regularly got 50mpg from the little puddle-jumpers that I used to own. The larger ones were a technological marvel, too. I loved 'em.

I'd take a DS convertible /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

the answer is put in the topic header once solved. The Citroen was built and only sold in the UK so its a LBC of sorts.
