Green one is a 1967 GT Special. Keeper. The red one is either a 65 or a 66 and is a parts car. The only number I can find on it is on a left fender tag GBD 015445 P, ANy ideas?

Looks good to me.

Vinnie, is the light switch a toggle or a pull switch?

Boy, if its a toggle, he's got a find!

shhh.... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

& they're both pre-backups! I've one but it has a pull switch.

'67. Still a good'n.

Ah - good. The 67 is the Green one.
Good for you Vince - WTG!!!

I just found out that based on that number the other is also a 67. It's a toggle.

Great find. Now I know you have too many projects, and I figure Doc and I can take care of them for you. At least until the ice melts in NY. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Well, if one's a toggle & 1 isn't, we all know which VIN should be built!

When I picked up the red car I saw the toggle and almost you know what. I waited until I got it home to crawl underneathe. It either had an OD and was removed or someone had a toggle switch and installed it there for lights or something. Neither have OD. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

The green one has a really cool pull out light thingy.

Gotta get the sawzall ready for the red one. I need some more body panels for the Green one and will start the body after I get it roadworthy.

I need both floor pans, sills & Trunk floor. All other parts I have.

And a really nice stearing wheel.

Yeah it's the "Personal" that came with the GT Special. I've got 3 outta of 4 of them now. I sold one last year. This one is near perfect, the one on my current GT is worn but not cracked at all and could just use some varnish. My third is NOS and safely tucked away in a sealed and heavily guarded area.

I am fairly confident that the seller would have checked to see if the trans was overdrive before letting the car go.

hmmmmm....so should I look to turn my '67 GT into a Special?

If yer so inclined. Alls you need is:

Bullet mirrors
Personal Wheel
Wooden shift knob
Fender and dash badges
Some other stuff

They also were certain colors and fell bellow Vin# 118,000.

Here's and ad.
