Wedge my TR7 DHC bottoming out

I was taking my dad out for a spin in my 7 and we were going over a couple bumps and it was bottoming out on the passenger side. We stopped and I tried to see if anything was scraping, but I couldn't see anything. It sounds like it's coming from the passenger rear somewhere. Could it be a sign of bad shocks or springs? I guess I'll take it to my mechanic and see where exactly it's scraping.

I believe your car has a rubber bump stop. Is it still in position and in good shape?

Good shape as far as I can tell, not sure how long the shocks have been on there. Did the bounce test and it passed. I'm guessing bump stops or new springs will be needed in the future.

did you try pushing sideways above the rear wheel when you tested? That would give you an idea of the condition of the bushings on the control arms.

Hmmm, no I haven't, I'll give that a try when I get home from work tonight, thanks.
