My tire education...

The Pilot Exalto tires on my recently acquired Miata had about 30,000 from the PO but oh my, there were sticky. They were also hard and loud.

Replaced them with a set of Fuzion ZRi tires , as I was frightened of the age and wear on the others.

Result? The Fuzion tire is terrible. It has dramatically changed the feel and handling characteristics of the car. I'm very displeased.

I hope the Firestone store will allow me to upgrade.

The 30-day ride guarantee may not be applicable for the Fuzion tire.

Caveat Emptor

I have the Yokohama ES100 tires on my '00 Miata. They are decent for dry performance, but not great in rain or snow.
I need to replace them soon, and will probably get another set of these tires.

The Fuzion is aimed at the looks over go crowd. For budget choices, you'll be hard pressed to do better than the Kumho SPT - sticky, reasonable wear, great in the rain. The ES100 is a reasonable choice as well, as is the Toyo T1-R. Check the pressures on your Fuzions before you chuck them. Tire dealers are notorious for sending you off with different pressure in each tire, all of them wrong. Miatas are quite sensitive to tire pressure variations.
