My summer "combo"

Ok, here they are, my 1968 MGB and my 1966 Glasspar Superlite clone. The Glasspar clone is 8 feet long, weighs less than a Waverider and has a 20hp Merc on the back. My family has owned the boat since new. It is one of two that I know of. For the longest time it was the only one I knew of.

Now I can hit either the car shows or the boat shows or both!! Should be a fun summer!!

Nice lookin' rig, Pete. Happy for you.

Re: My summer "combo"

Excellent! You have a great combo!

We have a row boat (with 9.9) and a '69 MGB.
Boats and cars (and airplanes)....all fun!

Is that boat actually made by Glasspar?

Your Glasspar reminds me of the little 10' GW Invader.
We have several of them (or clones) on our lake....but they run like 50 or 60 HP engines.

I don't think so. If you compare my boat to a Glasspar Superlite, the hulls are identical - dimensions, lines, etc. But Glasspar never made a Superlite with the deck, windshield, center mounted seat, steering wheel, etc. that I'm aware of. Plus, there is an additional character line on the side of the hull that clearly isn't on the Superlite. I've heard it was not uncommon in "the day" for companies to "borrow" hull designs and make their own versions. That's why I call my boat a Superlite clone. If anyone can shed some light on my boat for me, the information would be greatly appreciated.
