My son's Midget Christmas Wish List

Maplight
Sound dampening material
magnetic oil drain plug
shock buffers (2)
Midget or MG license plate frame
MG license plate screws
Midget jack
Lowering kit

I'm having problems finding the map light and the license plate frame at Moss. And the parts # he gave me for the shock buffers takes me to shock absorbers.

Any help?

For the license plate frame:

MG "Safety Fast" stainless steel: 222-776

MG Midget stainless steel: 222-875

MG Midget black steel: 222-850

For the "shock buffer" I just typed in "buffer" in the search engine at Moss.com .

There was a "front suspension buffer" with part # 264-295. And also a "buffer rebound" with part # 264-055.

I didn't see anything for "shock buffers."

Thanks guys! I knew I could count on you!

Got any idea about the shock buffers and the magnetic oil drain plug? I'm digging around on Moss.com but I can't find those either.

Hey Jaybird,

Sprite/Midget magnetic drainplug is 328-282 for A-series engines.

I already got my Christmas gift this year. A "brand-new" 1965 Austin Healey Sprite!

Thanks everyone. I've rounded up everything now but the 'shock buffers' and a jack (for changing tires sort of jack)

HA Jeff! I don't like the kid THAT much.

He'd LOVE a 1275 chromie. Earlier the better. But that's down the road I'm guessing. You know how littlebritishcaritis is...it just gets worse and worse. Next thing you know he'll be bringing home a spriteinabox!

GAWD Carl, don't encourage the boy! He's already 'wishing' for a lowering kit. By the way, Moss shows those for $23.95 #264-665 That cannot be right, is it? If so, should I order it? It says lowers 1/2". ONLY 1/2" makes a difference?

HE would LOVE to lose the RBs. How much is entailed? Can I email him the pic of your car?

Okay guys. I've found just about everything except the shock buffers and the sound-dampening material (I'm getting that at Lowe's)

WHERE can I find a jack? His car didn't come with a spare or a jack. By the kindness of a couple people, he now has 2 extra rims, one with a tire. But no jack. I tried ebay, but I suck at finding what I'm looking for there.

I would not use the stock jack and jacking points. I would probably just find a small scissor jack to use instead. I've used the stock jack, and it didn't seem very secure (and I scratched the paint). Just my two cents.

We gave him a set of jackstands & a hydraulic jack, along with a Haynes manual for his 'congratulations on catching the bug' gift. Any sort of small scissor jack? (shows you how little I know, right?)

Be my guest.
Doesn't Aerog have a page on the conversion?
Think I've seen one.
PO did my conversion.
