to be the "cover" piece on the invitation for this years show. All of the other invitations I've ever seen has had two or three cover pieces. This year it's just one, mine!

When we went to drop it off today ol' boy told me everyone loves it and is talking about it. Let's hope it sells and I get first place. (Kelly needs a new pair of eveything  )

 Rooting for you. Let's hope 'beginner's luck' means something. I saw the photo you posted and I thought it was awe inspiring.

VERY cool!

Very Kewlllll!

Nicely done. Fingers crossed for you.

Just realized it open on Friday the 13th...which is a GOOD sign. My wife was born on Friday the 13th ... :winner1:

Looks like it will sell too. I wish I had priced it at $1500 like I wanted to but listened to my wife. I'd like to enter the other two big shows with it but I can't if it's gone.

Make another one. Sales are the point.

I never entered the same piece twice.]

Hard to duplicate something like that. Sales are the point, but that piece is getting me lots of recognition. I'd like to hit some New Orleans shows with it.

Being an artist means being constantly more creative. Don't stagnate! Keep going.

Congratulations!

Being a artist means

That you have to look

for a new job everyday!

I'll admit that this is why I have a day job still

Doc nailed it. you can't, and don't want to "duplicate" a piece. It's being talked about because it's new and fresh, but that wont last long. keep the ideas flowing and create the next "wow". Not every one will be a hit, but that's part of art. From what I've seen and read from you, you've got it in ya.
Remember, the greats didn't become great by playing it safe.

Our friend showed a pic of it to someone. That someone is currently trying to figure out where to hang it in her home. She hasn't seen it in person yet but I bet she's gonna buy it.

Long story short, favored to win by all ( but the judge) and got honorable mention. Made the paper despite that. Kelly got an HM too. All in all, made the paper three times I think and got lots of publicity...the last thing I wanted.

I just want to quitely make stuff and sell it. I enjoy flying under the radar.

If you want to sell, than at first at least you need the publicity. Customers need to know that your stuff exists.
