Here are some shots of the engine bay. The engine bay, trunk and door jambs were painted on wednesday. Today, thursday i started installing suspension bits. I normally get the car rolling and back on the ground to spray the outer body. I spray a liquid masker(then masking paper) on the painted surfaces to keep overspray from sticking. Bob
I'll say. Sure glad he's far away. I'd be a moth to a flame if that were in the area... and I'd not get anything important done. Like 'eating' an' stuff.
Nice work Bob as always. I let you all in on a secret, you can buy one of Bob's cars for less than you can do one yourself. Bob, show them a picture of the black roadster with the red top, and the Revolution wheels.
Bob great work,
So where do you get all the brake, cable and wire clips?
I find it very costy and very difficult to get the right ones, and I'm very much against using a plastic clip if the original was metal.
Scott in CA
Scott, Moss sells them and sometimes i blast and paint the originals. They are listed by size of loop and bolt hole size. Clarke spares and restorations also has them. Bob
Absolutely a beautiful restoration! The professionalism just jumps out and grabs you! I can't wait to see the completed car. I love the color also.
Question, I see no splash panels in the rear of the front fenders. If they weren't on a 69, when did they start using them?
I'm sure they were there when the thing was new, Paul. They were used from the beginning. He likely has 'em off to th' side for finishing properly prior to installation.
Tony, I may have a front section from a 69. It would have the parking lamp closer to the grille. I will dig around if you can use it. I also may have a 67 coming in. Just waiting to see if it works out. Bob
