I couldn't belive Jody's post yesterday. I also bought an 8 Friday night. I drove it home about 200 miles. Awesome car - nice power band, and that 5th gear makes it a great highyway cruiser - quite comfortable in the left lane.

Some pix, as I know everybody wants pix.....

All I have to do is get some paperwork squared away with the NJ DMV and it'll be my weekend driver until the 3 is finished.

You need to get a 140 speedo. That 80MPH one just won't cut it.

Love that Gold color with the tan interior. If you're going to drive it regularly, better get a radar detector.

I kind'a like it. Drove home Friday night on the Jersery turnpike and "buried the needle" a few times! Been a while since I could say that with a straight face! :wink:

Wow, that car is beautiful! And I've got to second the speedo comment. Mine's already done 100 mph. Our cars have almost exactly the same mileage, but as well cared for as mine is, I think yours was better cared for. Excellent find!

It's even more fun when you bury the needle on a 140 speedo. You would have to break out some engine mods to pull that off. Stock TR8s "only" went 128MPH according to the factory. Looks like you scored a fine example that is sure to appreciate in value and give you plenty of smiles along the way.
