My "new" Morris

Some of you may have seen pictures of my multi-colored Morris Minor Traveller. It was really a horrible brown when I got it. I started painting it with black and white checkers, but that is really tedious and I never got it finished. I put a little effort out this week and made it all one color. Still need to get all the emblems on and paint the belt moulding on the doors, but it looks a lot better than it used to. Now I need to find time to paint the wheels too. Then it is on to the 62 Austin Mini 850. I have attached a picture for your viewing pleasure. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

Good thing you posted that photo Bruce, I'd hate to think there was another Morris Minor Traveller trying to usurp your throne. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Beautiful - now if it was the pickup model, I'd be sneaking into your garage at night with my 'silenced' winch!

Looking nice...

Tony... I know there are lots Morris Minor pickups down in the States, no need for midnight raids... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Shawn, I drive the thing every day to work, although since I don't work in Fort Collins anymore, you may not see it as often. And can you imagine, I just don't see any other ones on the road? Besides, how many people do you know that are crazy enough to drive something like this every day?

Tony, If my Model Y Ford pickup(now stored in a secret location) goes missing, you will be the first person I come looking for!

Bruce, I know you drive it daily. I still get down to Loveland on a regular basis, especially to the Newsstand, and occasionally see the car. If hadn't heard here that you repainted the car I probably would have called you and told you all about the 'new' Morris Minor Traveler in town. Your checkerboard pattern was quite identifiable.

And I've only seen a Morris Minor Traveller once! And that one time it was crammed into a tiny garage so I could barely see it

Having said that... A local collector owns a gorgeous MG YT Tourer, which I know is a rare car anywhere. But I get to see it several times a year, I almost don't realize how special it is, having seen it so often...

Looks great! what colour wheels are you thinking? I always like body colour with caps and beauty rings myself.

By the way, I have a '62 Mini Traveller, I have been into minis for donkeys years so if you have any questions or need bits....
