Howdy all:
Just took delivery of my new BJ8 today! The wonderful folks at InterCity rolled one of their giant trucks down my quiet little DC street and unloaded my new 1966 BJ8. She woldn't start at first due to the cold snap, but with a little jump start from my Jeep and a few shots of quick start into the rear carb, she roared to life, and purred like a kitten at idle. Here she is sitting in the garage, all warm and snug. We've named her Bay. She's green, and hails from Wisconsin, so it seemed like a natural choice. Plus, my girlfriend and I spend the long weekend on the Chesapeake, so Bay it is.
She's rock solid and really pretty. Can't wait for warmer weather!!
