I'm not really into showing cars, but I will enter a show sometimes just to get a better parking spot. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif Buttonwillow is a perfect example.
I do sometimes take a car to a show and enter it if I think it will be of interest to the people there, but I don't plan on winning anything. I will probably bring it to Supercar Sunday this month though since it has never been there. It's been to Cars & Coffee many times!

Ok, better late than never! Here's a video from driving the MGC a few days ago. The video is from a compact point and shoot still camera, so the video sucks and the audio is even worse. Add to that the You Tube compression and you get real garbage. But it's better than nothing!
The run up this road was 15 minutes but You Tube will only let me upload 10 minutes. You will notice that the second half of the run was pretty tame anyway. This was necessary to keep my passenger happy.
There are also lots of slow sections where it's residential or where I know there are other hazards. But there is plenty of room to have fun on this road, too! It could stand to be repaved though.

It's a squeeze alright. You know the old saying "pulling your car out of the garage"? I take it literally. The only way to get the center car in and out it by pushing in and pulling out.
Ordinarily the '65 is on the lift where the grey BGT is, but I was doing a suspension rebuild on the GT at the time so the '65 was in the driveway. I should have taken the time to nose it into the photograph and I'm too lazy to re-do it now.
One time the MGC was so close to the car next to it that I had to put a towel between them in case there was an earthquake. The towel barely fit.

The lifts aren't going anywhere unless something completely unforeseen happens. They are extremely well built and more solid than 4-post lifts. 10 anchors hold them down into 6-inches of reinforced 3500 PSI concrete. Even with nothing bolting them down, they can safely hold a car in the air.
