My new aquisition

That is cool Steve! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

Hmmm? I wonder what it's innards look like. We may just have to schedule a visit to the radiologist after your T. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Cliff, you get a ride for sure! In fact... rides for everyone!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif So everyone knows, Cliff is directly responsible for me buying this car. He was the first one to inform me it was for sale. I gave up on buying it but then he and Stewart posted photos a few weeks later. Stewart's photos really got me thinking seriously about it again and within days I had gone to look at the car. I pick it up tomorrow afternoon.

Stewart, that bothers me too, but if I'm not mistaken the factory actually ran them that way on the race track. For that reason I may leave them be unless it really bothers me over time. They don't look as bad backwards with those big fender flares.

Bret, DEAL! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

And I'm serious about the rides for everyone thing. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Anyone else notice the original Works GTS car next to this one in Stewart's photos? That's the real deal... one of only two ever built! It has an all-aluminum body and gobs of power. There are a lot of really cool historical things on it, like the missing 'C' on the rear hatch which was removed by the factory for its first race and never reinstalled. Very, very cool! The gentleman I'm buying the red car from recently took ownership of that GTS. I was fortunate enough to see it in person the other day!

That is the hottest thing on four wheels.

Wow! Wow! Wow!
That thing looks amazing....I should probably be arrested for just *thinking* how I'd drive it!
I rode in a C last year for the first time (a stock one) and it was much nicer than I had ever believed they were.
Congrats!

No problem 'tuning' those carbs, Steve. Once set up, about the only things you can easily change are idle mix and idle speed.

... and you could always send me plane fare! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Hot diggety dog! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif

Definitely a multiple banana moment. You're gonna have so much fun! Congrats on the acquisition.

Okay. 6. 6 sweet MGs.

I've tried to not go here, but Steve...

will you marry me?

Awesome Steve, that should be loads of fun. You might think about finding a good lawyer though. One with lots of traffic court experience. Or, find your local traffic court judge and offer him/her rides too. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

even better. Offer rides to off duty officers, so you can have undercover police escorts 24/7 :p

Do I smell a garage renovation....again?

You need to bring it to Sonoma...I want to see it in person!

I'm not sure if I can make that one. If I do, it may be on our way home from GoF West (Utah) and we will be in a MG TC.

Now you've done it, I gotta build one of those...
and I have a likely candidate in the garage...

AWSOME!!!! that's just COOL!!! Like Doc said, the triple webbers are a snap to keep tuned after all the initial sorting has been done. Idle mix is the only adjustment. a set of murcury guages or a bank of 6 vacuume guages (look in a motorcycle tools catalog) and even that task is a chinch.
RHD even! thats just cool! cool cool coool!
I'm BRG with envy.
