Couple of days ago I stumbled across an XJ-6 on E-Bay and being it was in New Mexico...I put in a proxy bid. While cruisin in the CGT yesterday with the wife, I jokinly said"wanna drive??? After all, we've had it over 20 years and you've only drive it once..for like two miles" She said"okay...whad ya buy" I was offended. I replied I was (looking) at an 1988.5 XJ-6 on E-Bay over by Las Cruces here in NM. At least she knew what it was as we had one when we lived in England. Later in the day we were out in the B and I told her it needed a big brother. She said I needed professional help?? Oh well, bidding ended about 30 minutes ago and I bought it for $676.00. Beautiful car...now how do I tell my wife when she gets home from church in about an hour?? Tell her its for her?? I even buy her new tools once in a while.

lol at you mate, think you better get down on your knees and pray she in a good mood mate and yes tell her it for her as long as she does half the work on it,
good luck

You can send it to me, I really want an XJ6. I want to drag all of my buddies to car shows but I can only fit me and one other in the MGs...;)

Ha, she understands you well and that is a good thing.

May you be blessed with her for many years to come.

Being just the wife and myself, we really don't need the room...but when we start loading in a grandchild or two..we thoght this car would suit. Wifes bug vert isn't big enough and her Rodeo is a pain to use. My big truck we use for mostly work(and collecting British cars we buy) I've owned an XJ-6 before so kinda know what to expect. I also have an old freind here in town that owns many English cars..As, EKEs, XJ-6s..couple of Bs. Never drives a single one of them and has a huge stash of Jag parts. He wants me to buy one of his XKEs, maybe later this spring.
