My little helpers.

My little helpers. I found another Bugeye project - got it dirt cheap. Back end is in great shape, which is what my other one needs. This one was hit in the front. My boys are enjoying taking this one apart - It will take a bit longer, with their help, but it will be worth it. Mommy thought it was cute and ran and got the camera - I told her that there is nothing cute in this garage /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

psst - my boys are pretty cute when they help - I must admit.

That's what I like to see!!! Get them involved early! Both the experiences you and they gain from this are immeasurable. Relish the moments, they will provide the memories for a lifetime for each of you!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grouphug.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

PS: The rear of that tub does look great!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

There is nothing cute in those photos. It's pure testosterone! Grunt grunt!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

We spent today in the garage too! I admit, our "helpers" are probably more help (12 and 18) but there is nothing like a sunday afternoon putting together a project. One of my son's friend's stopped by and was commenting on how he sure wished his dad and family had something they could do together. Cherish the days! Soon it will be only three of us and then two...and I am already feeling the emptiness.

Yes, they grow WAY too fast and before you know it, they have thir own lives!

Yep, my son is 46 and I still miss him. Thank goodness he stops by frequently.

I had both my boys rather late in life (they are 21 and 24) and both are off in the military right now so we only see them when they are allowed some leave and are able to make it home!! Still suffering from empty-nest syndrome!!

My wife and I have were married 15 years before our first one came along. The past seven years have flown by. We wish we could slow down time just a bit.

I certainly know what you mean...time, unfortunately waits for no man!

Our oldest was 7 yesterday - now he's 25!?
The advise I try to give people with young kids is
to take as many videos (& pictures) as you can.You
won't regret it later.

& I'm looking forward to when my grandson can hold a wrench....my daughter has said she wants me to teach him everything I know about cars (should take about a week!) as she still fondly remembers our times together in the garage & salvage yards.

That's great, Cliff. Though I must say, that's one ugly paint job on that poor Bugeye...

The empty nest syndrome goes on for ever. Not grandkids really, just kids.

Neat pics, brought a smile to my face. Though I'm a little older, I always enjoy working on my cars with my Dad. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

sideach, just yesterday i helped my son 13yo. with a school project that involved designing a device that was able to protect a raw egg from being damaged in a one story drop, the design we came up with won the competition, woke up this morning and hes 25yo. cherish all of your moments with you kids, im sure you do.

Hopefully that will continue for many years to come.

As adults me Ol' Fella and I spent many "quality" hours in the garage, knobbin' on some old lump or other. Usually one of my LBC's/LIC's. Some of my fondest recollections.

I got my dad involved in LBCs after I got into them. now he's the one with a nice car (69 MGB) and I have the immobile piles of rust! how'd that happen????
Oh well, I had fun helping dad fix up his car.

Anthony, I'm a successful 3 for 3 at the egg drop.

My old man had me wrenching with Marinas, Maxis and Princesses. I swore I'd never get a Leyland after that trauma.
