Doug is a keeper. 34 years on the 18th. This is Doug and his project this week. Now let's see if I can post photos. Floor covering and subfloor removed from kitchen and both bathrooms. Ready for new floors to be installed. He has done his part and saved us dollars.
I hate it when that happens! Doug rearranging furniture. Paneling? Walter I think you just want to get out of working. If you can't tell we live in a log home - thus tile in the kitchen, bathrooms and carpeting in the rest of the house. Can you imagine living in a wooden box - you'd never know which end is up.
Like it when folks do this stuff for themselves. Good work!
Our hovel is a concrete block 1100 sq ft bunker. We ripped out carpet and lino years ago and put down ceramic tile right out to th' gunwhales in all but two "spare" bedrooms.. Those will eventually get tile as well. No haven for bugs/sand/goo to hide.
Florida is one giant termite mound so wood is sparsely used in my place. Had to gut the bathroom a couple years ago and reconstruction was with treated spars and cement board. That'll blunt th' wee critters' teeth.
Judy,
That's a good looking kitchen.
We are getting ready to renovate another bath and I am dreading it. Seems the older we get the less enthused we get over renovations but seeing your progress should get me motivated.
Beautiful home, Judy. Not what I expect of a New Mexico home. Looks like it could be sitting on the shore of Winnipesaukee. Tough to escape those New England roots.
