I got this Midget for free last Friday. It was given to me by Tim Hollister. He trailered it to my house, about 15 miles and wouldn't even take money for gas! I want to give a public thank you to Tim and to every one else that make this forum so great.
I'm going to use the front and rear brakes and a few other things, then everything else will be up for grabs. It's in pretty sad shape, it even has a custom latex roller paint job.
John-Peter, the grille is sad and the surround has only 2 tabs left.

Maybe someone doing a chrome bumper conversion could use some parts.

Does that have the triumph steering rack or the austin?

Sorry, I forgot to say it's a 1971. It has the Austin rack.

If you have a sawzall and want to send me some little bits off the body, specifically the parts under the tail lights?
Those back bumpers look pretty nice too, and the gas cap, and...

I'm not sure you will be cutting it up, but if so I sure would like to have some parts.

Hmmmm....trying to think of what I could use off of there. I am sure some. Please post if you do part it out, I am sure I can find something useful, and you're so close I could just stop on by and remove it myself!

Rick, I will be cutting it up, that's how it will leave my driveway. It's going to slowly disappear. When I'm ready, I'll let you know. The gas cap is mine.
Kevin, come on over and see what you want.

What's your time frame before dumping it? Please just let me know. I'll make sure I get over there after you remove what you want. That trunk lid looks decent.... ;)Mine had a luggage rack, and I filled the holes. Still not perfect, so a "non-hole-equipped" one would work better.

May also be interested in the hood. I know it's junk, that's why I'd want it.

About 3 real tiny things I need (clips & such) that you'd normally throw away...want me to PM you with explanation oabout them?

I'll have it for a while. I'm trying to get rid of a car in my garage (not my Sprite) so I can't remove the suspension from this one because I might have to move it around. I'm glad I have understanding neighbors.

little clip that holds the wiring to the body behind the grille....little clip that holds the fuel line to the bottom front edge of the frame rail by the engine mount, little round clip that holds the brake line to the rear end....that's what I need.

Let's see Tony, those are pretty RARE items. I wouldn't think he'd sell them for any less than $5 each. Plus $4 per item removal fee. Plus cleanup and environmental disposal of cleaning solutions at $10. Plus $2 per item handling fee. Plus $5 packaging fee. Plus $4 shipping.

... It should cost you somewhere along $52. Sound reasonable?

OK, anybody that wants parts has to go through my business manager Trevor.

Looks like Trevor is quickly putting you out of business, Dan...hehehehe

Tony, when it stops raining here I'll check on those parts.

Dan, how bad is the tub? Really rusted out, or solid? I've got good fenders and doors, I have a decent hood....I feel as if my tub is at the threshold of "is it worth it?" It certainly could be fixed, but another tub may just make life much easier.

I've got a solid drivetrain, suspension will soon be like new, interior is decent. Tub's really the only questionable item I have on my car, it has it's share of rust and DPO rust fixes

i see lotsa good stuff!
that could be made into an
ugly driver pretty quickly...
put a 1098 in it and sell it to
some teenagers...z
