My First Show... 1st Place

I just got home from the 2007 Vintage Triumph Register South Central Region Trials in north Houston and my car took first in modified... The judges said they really liked how I had installed the Toyota 5 speed and brakes along with aluminum rad, rack and pinion, the tan with red... Made me feel all this work was worth it.. At the awards social my wife asked me again, "So how much do you really have in that car?"... I also took a third in modified autocross, my first ever autocross...That rack and pinion, trans and TSI motor really felt good on the track and I think the car could have ran a lot faster as the driver (me) was the limiting factor.. What a great couple days!.. there were over 100 cars and I didn't think I win anything against some of those... I'm going to post a couple interesting photo's I took in another post.. Here's my car on display:

CONGRATS, ROY! You certainly deserve it..

I see that you didn't post a reply to your wife's question.
Always, always beat around the bush.

Is there any little bitty part of mine in that car? That would make me feel good.

Bill, My car has the crank you gave me in it... We polished that crank and had it nitrated and balanced.. Thanks...

Sweet!! Congratulations and good luck in the future events.

Nice job. . . autocrosses are a blast, used to do them with my 1978 Ford Fiesta and did quite well.

Congrats, awards are always fun!

Roy-

Congrats! You deserve it, that work looked really good - I just picked up some EBC rotors, partly inspired by that 4 pot upgrade you just did. Now if only my buying parts was a good as putting those parts on my car I'd be in as good a shape as you!

Never, ever answer that question.....

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/iagree.gif I don't even let myself know how much I have spent in total on either of my Triumphs. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif
