It crossed the line.

This forum has a very good reputation. I visit the Moderators' Forum (invisible to non-moderators; it's where we talk about you guys...) and I read about all kinds of "stuff" going on in the other forums, but this forum normally stays clean and positive and avoids profanity and commercial messages, etc. Oh sure, there's a certain constant level of smartalek stuff here, but nothing too bad.

In the thread that I locked, there were a couple of "inappropriate" posts which have been individually deleted, and the overall thread had strayed far off topic and degenerated. Since there is some useful info in it, I locked it instead of deleting it completely.

You might want to review the forum rules. I'm a whole lot more liberal than the management. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

it's that Roger guy, isn't it? I knew from the moment his shroud cracked and it was made of bondo that he was a smartaleck. I could see it a mile away. Smartaleck, smartaleck, smartaleck.

And now I'll never know where to stick my jack strap.

Next time anybody here gives you any trouble, ER, just let me know and I'll get Anthony to go pay him a little visit and straighten him right out. He's changing his handle from 7777 to The Enforcerator.

We want all the other mods to be jealous of how clean you keep this place. We're not putting up with any more shenanigans from anybody, especially that Roger guy. From now on, bad puns, off-color insinuations and anything remotely resembling humor should be kept to yourselves. This forum is for Healey talk, and we ain't putting up with any more Smartypants, toiletmouth or off-topicality no more.

Thanks Editor Reid for keep us on the straight and narrow. It's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it.

shg, rogers innocent i tell ya innocent! as for me well- reids been kinda quiet so far but i know hes cookin something up for me, scoozy i godda check my p.m.-oh boy!---my bad.

So will we ever see a picture of how the frame elevation retention device (pc?) is secured in the boot? I've looked for a possible attachment point and cannot see anything. Does it lay down in that well below the tire to be held from the bottom or the sides?

--------Nope and as they say: "A Word to the Wise is Sufficient!!----Admiral--Keoke

tahoe healey, the only time ive seen any jacks in the boot of a big healey theyd been just laying about randomly seemingly abandoned with a sense of hast and disdain, the one that came with my bj7 was in a heavy canvas bag stowed in the inner fender cavity of the boot on the left side, i guess there are many of us that havnt bought the anderson/moment restoration publication, im not sure pictures are in there either.

Sorry, there are two reasons I didn’t post the picture. First was digging the scanner out and hooking it up. The second and more important is the copyright issue.

I looked in Anderson/Moment and Clausager before asking. Neither one shows anything or provides any description that helps.

Seriously, I think we have found a big black hole in Healey knowledge as to how the stupid jack is attached with the jack strap. I thought there was somebody who could say where every screw went, and here we have huge gap. This calls for a new book!

gegw, two rather sound reasons, im one of the people that hasnt bought the book perhaps when you get the "scanner" hooked up ya can email me a copy. yuck,yuck-he,he.

Naw 7777's, Greg just be making excuses. If he get the scanner hooked up it will Copy Right!----Keoke- /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

Well Anthony, DON'T check your email, cause I'm pretty sure I didn't send you that photo. Well, reasonably sure. But I get confused in my old age.

I'm sorry Gentlemen, but I'm going to have to ask you to return to the original subject of the thread, or I'm gonna have my second locked thread! One of you suggested that we'd be so good at "moderating" ourselves that Reid would be the envy of the other moderators... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif
