My eye, MY EYE!!!

For more than a few years (just prior to pandemic) the cataract replacement inter-ocular lens in my dominant right eye has been well off axis. Long story, but loss of acuity made using that eye with a camera impossible. Had to fit -4 diopter eyepieces to all cameras, to use the other eye. Yesterday went thru a surgery to hunt the errant lens down for removal and replace it with an "aqueous" version. Still bloodshot and aches BUT (!) on removal of the dressing for the first time, I could read the eye chart down to 20/25. Surgeon said that was the first time post-procedure, anyone could even make out anything below the second line down. I'm CHUFFED!

Congrats Doc. I had my eyes done about 4 1/2 years ago, and it was amazing how my vision cleared up!

I'd had the cataract lens removal in both eyes about twenty years ago. Amazing indeed. Had 20/20 vision for about a decade before a left eye retinal detachment surgery, then the right lens started moving around. A year ago it went total rogue due to an impact to the left side of my head. The procedure yesterday was to dig out and replace the out-of-alignment lens.

Just now I look like I've been in a wicked-mean bar fight and lost!
