Last night I became the owner-to-be of a '72 Europa TC.
That ought to use up my spare time; I wonder what I've let myself in for?

More to follow. . .

Congradulations, I hope you get to drive it as much as you will work on it. I haven't figured how to do that yet, but there is always hope.

Big Congrats!

Is it the red one that was on EBay recently?

I've had my '74 TCS for about 18 months and over 3,000 miles - yes, more time spent driving it than working on it (I think). Great fun and so unique.

Some great resources:

Gerry Johnson's site -

The Yahoo Europa webring -

And of course there is this place!

ALL Europas are special IMHO

Thanks everyone. Yes, it's the red one that recently sold on eBay. Fortunately, the car was being sold about an hour from home, so I could go and see it before I bid. It definitely needs work, but I don't think beyond reason. The seller was kind enough to put it up on a hoist so I could walk around and poke underneath, and for its age it's really not in bad shape, though the interior needs a lot of work and I dare say I'll find more as time goes by.

VERY neat!

Congrats, Roger!

Thanks all. So far I'm taking it apart and ordering new stuff to replace what's broke and/or unserviceable.
Not too bad - I'm still at the optimistic stage.
What calamities await, I wonder?

You'll find out soon enough, I'd reckon... but that's part of the appeal I think, reviving a great car and then enjoying the fruits of your labor...

I keep telling myself how much fun I'm having, sometimes it's even true.

I'd like a Europa for my next project....
