My Dash

I'm finally done with my dash. Since it's my daily driver I did one section at a time so it took over a month, 7-10 days on each section. The vernier was in good shape but the plywood was delaminated so badly that in places you could see through it looking on edge. I glued and clamped a little section at a time. The finish peeled off with an exacto blade. I gave it a light sanding and 7 coats of Minwax Polyshades Olde Maple Gloss (I used foam brushes) sanding with 600 paper between coats. I'm really happy with the results and I spent less than 15 bucks for finish, brushes and sandpaper.

Well done. By the way, in case anyone doesn't know, the black paint around the guages comes right off to reveal beautiful British chrome. Just take a cloth and some nail polish romover(if you have a lady friend around...)or laquer thinner and it will rub right off.
