A huge: YAHOO! Car starts and runs. View the pics
and vids, please tell me what you think!

First a celebration line:

The first video...but no audio. Couldn't figure why. Double click photo to run:

Then the exhaust:

Now pointing with left index finger. Doesn't this area look
a little dry?

Conversely, this area between the pinky and the thumb looks pretty well wet:

I can't remember what I had in mind with this shot:

and one last, kind of overall pic under the valve cover:

Please advise me the next things to do. I suppose time with timing light...and then...

Also, if you see anything that looks wrong, please advise. Thanks to all.

Hey, where's the red color????????????

It concerns me that the gasket is not still on your valve cover. Don't get oil on that surface before the sealer goes on.

And that part of the stand doesn't need lubed. How are the rockers and the shaft on either side?

But that looks like one of Justin's gaskets, isn't it? I don't think sealer is needed in that case, at least I haven't yet.

It's always an exciting time when the beast first fires up. Congratulations...

The red color?? I guess you mean the red engine bay?? Covered up by my fender well
covers. I think the rockers and the shaft are gonna be all right. I'll make sure
to pay attention to that.

Yes, this is one of Justin's gaskets.

Paul: I didn't read about proper installation. I've just been letting it set because
I figure I should in order to readjust the valves, when the time comes.
Am I supposed to "glue" it to the valve cover?

Way to go 2wrench, what a great feeling huh.
Glad to here, it running.

Well.., you could go back and check things or just set the timing, adjust and sync the carbs, and then go thru whatever breakin procedure that makes you feel comfortable.
You'll be getting recommendations on that phase.
