By my dot and her boyfriend.

It's gorgeous here today & the little snot just called. Oooh she's good.

Did I mention she can't drive a stick?

Did I mention she won't get behind the wheel?

Did I mention I get a double wax job and detailing out of this?

You're a brave, brave woman and very generous! A remember detailing a family friend's Corvette when I was a teen in exchange for a night on the town with it. Your daughter is sure to appreciate this gesture for a long time. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Gee, I can't begin to imagine where she gets her negotiating skills (an motoring tastes). /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

PC.

Well, it's not like they're teenagers either. Sarah's 25, Rob's 28. And even though Rob's been around 5+ years, he still knows I'd maim him if he messes up. So I'm sure the B is in excellent hands.

Besides, car's insured and it was bought to drive, right?

((they've been gone a whole 5 minutes))

And does the GPS monitoring device you installed work??? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

As the father of a 22 YO and 18 YO sons, I am so glad my insurance requires any driver to have 10 years experience in order to drive mine /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

They packed a picnic lunch, were going to stop by and visit Gramma (my mother-in-law) Showed them where the headlight switch was, told them to have fun.

It's clouding up. If it rains, they're screwed because they won't have a clue how to put the top up.

((are they back yet?))

Oh. Maybe I forgot to pop in and say the B is home safely nestled in the garage.

They came back about 6ish. Was starting to sprinkle and they didn't know how to put the top up. Back with a full tank of gas too I might add!

Except it's cloudy and chilly today, wanting to rain. So I guess the wax job and detailing will have to wait. Although it WILL be done by next Sunday, because we're going to the Easter car show that day. (think I can get them to spiff up under the bonnet too?) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Whew.......you had us all worried that they'd run off to Sedalia, never to be seen again. Since you got a full tank of liquid gold, might be prudent to let the underbonnet detailing go until time for the next bribe. Once having enjoyed your lbc I can't imagine this will be both first and last.

Ooh, it's already the second time they've 'borrowed' the B. Once last November. Don't worry, I'm keeping track. I'm thinking I can work this for a lot of labor with the summer coming up. Both of them will have graduated in May (Sarah from med school, Rob with his MBA) and until they find jobs and move...they'll have a lot of free time on their hands.

Sarah's already mentioned her and Rob driving the car in the parade into Forest Park next Sunday and US meeting THEM there. I had to think about that for a whole nanosecond. And then I mentioned how cute Sarah'd look in her OWN lbc...

JB...did you also recommend a GT with room for a baby seat?
Errr I mean, that way they wouldn't have to worry about the hood? LOL

Bruce

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Nonononononononononononononononononononononono babies.

Do not even mention the "G" word around me. I've owned and operated a day care 25+ years. I make my living off babies. Don't want 'em around here unless someone's paying me a weekly rate on 'em.
