Today I got the call I've been waiting for a year and a half....Finally...the really fun part (final asembly) can begin...

Here is a link for some cool (well cool in my opinion!) TR3 body pix fresh out of the paint shop. Click on the 4 pointed icon lower right corner. Yeah, yeah, I know..not another signal red TR3 - but it is the original color per the heritage sheet...and it was the color I owned as a teenager...

And here are a pair of links to the earlier part of the saga...(amongst a bunch of other sub assemble posts)

I remember that day with my 4A. So rewarding to start building a "new" car!

Fun Fun, looks fantastic. This is the best part of any restoration.

Remember to take your time and get everything right on reassembly the first time. The last 10% of any restoration is always the most important. I separates the men from the boys.

John is right. You now have the opportunity to make it much better than when it was new. The sure to happen delays in waiting for just the right part, or finishing touches to be completed properly will be nothing when it is all said and done. And worth every minute of the wait.

And it does look spectacular.

Izzat red? Can't tell from the pictures. :jester:

I am envious! Looks great Luke.

Cheers,
M. Pied Lourd

Luke...Very nice project you have going. This next phase will be a lot of fun for you. I also have a Signal Red 3A.... as was its original color per the build sheet....but don't let the comments about "Another Red Car!" get to you. I actually have been at a British car show and had someone walk past my car and say " I never could vote for another Red 3!". Thats OK...you will get the smiles and thumbs up on your rides. Keep up the photos! Gil NoCal

Yeah, there's a reason there're so many red ones:

THEY JUST LOOK GOOD THAT WAY!!!

I long ago gave up on what people say at car shows and who they vote for. I go for the camaraderie of the LBC owners and to talk about cars with like minded individuals.

Paul...You are right on track on the real joy in car shows.
Nice people...with fun cars...that is what it is really about!!
Went to a local "Chrome & Flame" show recently with my grandson. Met a guy there who had a beautiful Ford Roadster. When I asked him about his car he just bubbled over! He had just finished the day before after 5 years work. He was thrilled to tell the story...and I know the feeling. Gil NoCal

That looks great. Have fun.

The only thing I would then really get worried about is scratching it putting it back together.

Now the fun begins
Great color!

Looks great Luke!!
The force is with you!
