My annual photo essay

Just put together my photo essay of 2015 photos... Ignore the title slide, it has the wrong year on it... :rapture: Having software trouble re-saving the changes, lesson learned about proper proof reading... And a few less cars this year, that side of my photos was a little weaker this year for some reason...

Love the pictures, but if I'm being honest (and I am) I'm not entirely crazy about the music.

I hear you... Was just trying something different this year, as I am a big fan spoken word poetry, I was also a little rushed putting it together, always am... I certainly wouldn't enter this one in a contest, when I'm putting together a photo essay for competition a lot more care is taken...

Since you first began posting on BCF, I've felt your photos are fascinating, intriguing and professional. I do join Basil in thoughts about the music. But then, I think photos don't need music anyway - often like having a marching band playing at the Museum of Modern Art. I'd prefer silence, or ambient sounds from the photo location. Or maybe even the photographer's commentary.

On a different tack, when you're trying to find tech help on a repair, and get directed to a YouTube video with loud distracting music - I usually get really frustrated.

Thanks for posting your photos!

I've said before and will do so again: James, you've got a great "eye" and good sense of timing. Very nice work.

...I elected to hit the mute button at 0:58 tho.

Janes,
Love your photos. Calgary seems to be an interesting place and your photos gave me a peek at somewhere I've never been. I really liked the Remembrance Day shots. The snowfall from this site looked really cool falling against your winter photos.

I'm sure some other cities are far more interesting, our general downtown area is rather small, but it's home and what I have to work with... :rolleye: And Calgary is a city of winter, being further north and also close to the mountains...
