Seems every time I turn around It`s $900.00
Two weeks ago the wind cought my awning blew it up and over the coach, bent the main beams as well as the secondary beams and ripped one mainbeam bracket right off of the coach, Broke the other one. Cost to replace $913.00.
Same weekend, brought coach off of the mountain to obtain license and inspection. Went to inspection station and was informed "You have a cracked windshield" can`t inspect. Grrrrrrrr looked all over creation for Passenger windshield glass for coachmen motorhome. Had a VERY hard time getting some companys to EVEN RESPOND to my plea.
Finally found a fellow in S.L.C. that would order the glass for half down, YEP $450.00. Today finally got glass installed YEP another $468.00
I`m staying indoors and burying my head under the covers for fear something else will cost yet another $900.00
There! At least y`all know L.B.C.`s arn`t the only money pits around.

I feel your pain....my son leaves for college in a week and I've never experienced having to hand out money like cookies before......
 
RUN KERRY!!! those things come in 3s. you've only had 2 so far!
I've had one of those weeks too. The state utility company finally sent a meter man out here after 3 years. guess how much back electricity we owe?

I have helped educate three (3) sons through 5.5 college degrees, and still going. The first is making moves toward a PhD (tree hugging), the second starts law school next week, and the third is in his 3rd year of medical school.

Funny, when I left home at 17 I never asked my parents for money (they didn't have it anyway) and never looked back. What have we wrought?

Tell me! & high maintenance at that.....but after college, law school & masters degree in England she's a partner, married & I've now got a grandson! Its worth it....

I guess I shouldn't complain too loud, he has a full ride to the university (the fruits of his 4.3 GPA) + another $1000 for books from a smaller scholarship...its the other stuff---bed linens, coffee pot, computer, making sure the car is "roadworthy" for the commute yada, yada, yada---scholarships don't cover all the "other" expenses. I figure he did about 90% of the work...I can help with the "small stuff"

That's where I draw the line...he can buy his own beer! I have enough trouble budgeting my beer allowance each month /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif

Thought I was finished with collage, my own, my kids, now grandkids.

I tell ya this must stop somewhere.
