My 9 y.o. Grandson and Bugsy

Well I did my best to introduce my 9 y.o. Grandson to Bugsy this afternoon. He was at the house helping me take down the rest of the Christmas lights in the back yard and picking up tree branches and putting in garbage cans after I got them cut up. Dinner time came around and I asked casually,"So you want to go get pizza and we'll take Bugsy." His eyes got as big as saucers and I got an enthusiastic "Oh Yeah!!!"

Bugsy cooperated and started right up. Top was up but we still got to cruise over to the pizza joint. I heard, " Wow you are really close to the ground.""This feels like a go cart." "This is really, really neat." And the best of all he related in great detail to my wife how I slowed down to let the traffic get ahead of me and then drove quickly through the uphill set of S Curves right by my house. Lots of animated hand motions and descriptions of the car going very quick through the corners.

He loved it.I might have just gotten another LBC Convert. As fun as it was for him, it was even more fun for me watching his reactions to Bugsy.

Good on ya Jim,
Start em out young, and show them the good life.
9 years old? Another 7 years and he'll be asking to borrow old Bugsy!!

You can bet on it. It won't be as fast as he remembered when he gets his own (or yours).

My #1 grandaughter isn't quite big enough to ride in my MGB yet (she's still in a car seat), but she gets "rides" up and down the driveway all the time.
She also like rides in Grandpa's "other MG" (that's what she calls our Miata).

#2 grandaughter was just born 11 weeks ago so we have some time before she'll be riding in any MGs.
She had ridden is her aunt's Jaguar, however.

And that aunt (my younger daugher) will be having twins within the next week or so.
Eventually, I'll have four likely "converts".
