This my first TR, a formally Emerald Green '73 currently being shipped from So Cal to New York. Can't wait till it arrives and I can get some sleep again. Went to Cali to look at, and have it inspected by a local Tr6 expert, and now its just the waiting. Thanks in advance for the help I'm sure I need once I start exploring.

Sleepless nights as you await your Triumph and wonder where and what. Mine had to be towed on a barge & cross the Pacific on a freighter so I can well imagine what you're feeling.

Nice looking '6 -- here's hoping mild weather holds so you can enjoy some time on the road.

WOW!!!

What a beautiful looking TR6 /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/iagree.gif .

You are one lucky guy!! Enjoy the drives.

Nice to have you here. It looks like a lot of your work is done for you already, so happy motoring!!

Welcome to the world of fun cars and empty wallets!!!!

Thanks, 1st. I think you and I are the only ones who like my bumpers. I have the same thing on the front. They are bumpers or "nerf bars" if you will, for the AC Cobra.
How do you stand the waiting?

Schweeeeeeeeeeeet. I had a spit that looked very similar in color. I think it was called pimento. It was very nice but like an idiot I sold it to make a few dollars. The only thing I didn't like was the ridiculous rubber 'buck teeth' bumpers (it was a '79). Now I anxiously await picking up my '72 TR6 with 70,000 orig miles. Color looks like butterscotch. I can't pick it up until I make final payment which won't be until Feb or March. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif By the way, I have two questions at this time...where can I find paint color info for tr6's, and how come mine doesn't have a luggage rack? Thanks in advance, CG

Nice cars, guys. There is color information in the Moss Motors catalogue. You can also look at some of the books on TR6s such as Original Triumph Tr4/4a/5/6 by Bill Piggott. The luggage rack was, of course, an option. The chrome racks look nice but I also like the clean look you get without one.

George,

Please don't ever say that around an "Inca or Topaz" TR6 owner. They get kind of testy to references of their colors other than "Inca or Topaz".

Chart is below for color range:

Then they'd really get upset if they heard my most common description of that color.! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Thanks for the paint color link Brosky. It definately isn't pimiento red, so the closest thing for a 72 is 'saffron yellow' so assuming it's the orig color I guess that's it...
Actually Brosky it looks like yours in the pic

Well.............that would then be Mimosa.

I would hate to think of the color that Jeff may call mine after pretty much guessing what he called the Inca or Topaz colors.
