Multi-grade oil in gearbox?

Howdy all. I'd love some advice on gearbox oil. I've been running Red Line MT 90 manual transmission fluid that I bought from Moss. Since first putting it in, I've had tons of leaks crop up where I didn't have them before. I've heard a lot of folks recommend 60w. I've got a bunch of Penrite 25w-60 multi-grade. Would a multigrade be ok for the overdrive transmission on my BT-7? Any wisdom is most appreciated. Thanks!

B.

Use 30W non-detergent. Do not use a multi-grade oil.

I have used Penrite 20/60 (and previously 20/50) in my 1965 BJ8 gearbox (with overdrive) without problems or leaks.
