Much media attention for the C

Has anyone else noticed a recent spate of articles on (or featuring) the MGC? In the last seven or eight months, there have been articles on the C in Hemmings Sports and Exotics (including this month), Practical Classics and Classic and Sports Car. I'm quite pleased with all the attention. It's giving me the needed umph to go out and fix my C's blown head gasket!

Bill,

Yes I've noticed. The guy who owns the cover C on the Classic and Sportscar issue sent me one; rode in that car in the UK in 2007 and it is sweet!

Just heard about the Hemmings S&EC MGC GT restoration article; will have to pick up that issue.

And I also just heard about the Practical Classics article; will have to get that one somehow.

I've got all the desire to restart the C, just need the wife to get employed and get some cash flow going.

C's value is on the rise....& the modern tires eliviate all the bad press it got when it came out years ago with bias belt tires...plus, they're rapidly disappearing because for so long there weren't god sources for the "C-specific" parts......for example: there was a time when you couldn't get C floorpans - now there's at least 1 place in the UK that manufacturers them.
