Jack, I posted this in your "Progress" Thread, but thought I'd stick it in again so you'd be sure to see it. This is the Wix filter that is sold through NAPA.

NAPA Gold, P/N 1034.
Dimensions:
OD of filter=2 7/8"
Length= 4 3/8"
Gasket OD= 2 3/4"
Gasket ID= 2 3/8"
Threads= 3/4 x 16

Hope this helps.
Jeff

OK, where did you get those specs? Is there a Wix reference on line?
Thanks,
Trevor

Doh,
I found it. 1348 looks the same only a little shorter. Any other differences , that I missed?

I got it Jeff, hay, what's with this Mr. stuff. That was my dad, I'm Colonel, hehe. Just plain old Jack at this point in my life, kind of like it that way. Heck I even answer to hay you.

Thanks Jeff, appreciate.

Jeff--does that filter fit the Moss spin-on adaptor by any chance? I was wondering if that adaptor used the same threads as the stock spin-on plate.

Don't know but bet it does, they seem preaty standard.

Running the risk of seeming ignorant once again, but how do I check the threads?

On something that big, you could just measure. 3/4" diameter with 16 threads per inch. (Don't worry about the pitch)

Better yet, what is the filter number that goes with the kit, then cross reference to a Wix number.

It was a K&N branded filter, if I remember correctly. Not near the car right now.
