MGB Moving an MGB

U-Haul will rent a trailer without renting a truck - so long as your truck is classed to pull their trailer.

Penske rents car trailers too. Not sure if they'll let ya rent the trailer without a truck though. I rented one of their trucks and a trailer for my car when I moved out here several years ago.

Kenny, maybe it has wire wheels on it.---Keoke

What damage can be done if the driveshaft is not disconnected?

Under certain conditions this can be hard on the Tranny.---Keoke

Towed a Bugeye, smooth box with drive shaft disconnected of course, from MI to SC on a U Haul dolly behind a standard size Olds in early 80's. Nary a problem.

I towed my '79 B from SC to TN on an auto tranport from U-Haul. The price difference was only about $5 more than if I had rented a tow dolly...much easier as well.

Picked up my '63 in Philly and towed it on a dolly (with shaft in place) to Atlanta. Don't think the driveshaft is an issue with a manual in neutral expecially over 200 miles. Just be certain the diff is serviced!
